Rust External setup

Load Rust External in the right order and check ESP once you are in-game.

Rust External runs on your gaming PC through the External loader. It does not use the DMA loader or a second PC.

First load#

1. Check Rust External on Status.
2. Close Rust and its anti-cheat.
3. Open Discord desktop and set up its legacy overlay using External loader setup.
4. Sign in to the External loader, select Rust External, and load once.
5. Open Rust when the loader shows Setup complete and asks you to launch it.
6. Wait for overlay setup to finish, then join a server and let the world load.

Do not open Rust during preparation. If the loader asks you to reconnect to an already-running game, follow that message instead of restarting everything.

Check the ESP#

Start with player ESP. Check readability at your game resolution, then add the world categories you use. Reduce loot or world distances if the screen is busy.

If a category is missing, check its toggle and filters before changing the entire config.

Configs#

Keep Rust External settings on the gaming PC and use its own config menu. Rust DMA configs and Fortify blueprints are not Rust External configs. Back up working settings before trying a replacement.

The overlay does not appear#

Check whether the loader is waiting for Rust or Discord's overlay. Use that message and the External loader checks before changing ESP settings.

For a problem after loading, send the error, loader version, and cropped screenshot through support.
